London--Jan. 15--Recent adverse developments, including the U.S. slowdown and the sharp fall in technology stocks, are unlikely to have a huge effect on the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee's forecast of steady domestic economic progress, Governor Eddie George said. In spite of the turbulence overseas, the U.K. economy could achieve the kind of robust performance the MPC had forecast, George maintained.
