Tokyo--Jan. 15--Japan's current account balance in November posted a surplus of 972.2 billion yen, up 22.1% on year, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said. The rise followed a drop of 28.9% in October. An MOF official said he is unsure about the long-term trend of the current account surplus because the service balance and income balance have been fluctuating recently, although the surplus in the trade balance has continued to drop.
