NEUCHATEL, Switzerland (AFX) - Swiss producer prices in December were unchanged from November, while the import price index declined 0.6 pct, the Federal Statistics Office said.
In November, the producer price index was unchanged from October, and the import price index up 0.3 pct in the period.
For 2000, the producer price index was up 0.9 pct from 1999, and the import price index rose 6.7 pct in the period. Both indices together were up 2.7 pct from 1999.
The producer price index (May 1993=100) was 95.9 in December compared with November, while the import price index (May 1993=100) was 101.9, down from 102.5 in November.
In December, both indices together were down 0.2 pct from November and up 2.2 pct from a year earlier.
