Tokyo, March 22 (BridgeNews) - Sixteen major Japanese banks will write off a 4 trillion yen in bad loans this fiscal year ending March 31, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported. The expected size of the write-off will be 1.6 times the figure they predicted in autumn 2000, the business daily said.
