TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Vehicle output in February fell 3.1 pct year-on-year to 897,787 units after a fall of 1.1 pct in January, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said.
The association provided the following February output figures, with year-on-year percentage changes:
Car output - 750,665 units, down 2.0 pct
Vehicle output - 897,787 units, down 3.1 pct
Provisional vehicle exports - down 10 pct
Vehicle output includes cars, trucks and buses.
The figures compare with the following data for January with year-on-year percentage changes:
Vehicle output - 754,151 units, down 1.1 pct
Car output - 618,146 units, unchanged
