TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Supermarket sales in February fell 6.2 pct year-on-year after falling 2.0 pct in January, the Japan Chain Store Association said. The largest sectoral fall was recorded by clothing, which dropped 8.7 pct, followed by household products, down 7.1 pct, and food, down 4.7 pct. Retail floor space rose 8.2 pct from a year earlier, it added.
