TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Household spending in February fell 3.8 pct year-on-year after a rise of 0.8 pct in January, the Cabinet Office said. The largest decliner in the month was spending on education, which fell 15.6 pct, followed by transport and communications, down 11.6 pct, and furniture and household products, down 8.4 pct. The only riser was spending on health and medical bills, up 4.1 pct.
