Italy recorded a trade surplus of 372 million euros with countries outside the European Union in April, official statistics agency ISTAT said on Tuesday. That compares with a revised surplus of 1.365 billion euros in March. Italy's accumulated trade deficit for the first four months of the year with countries outside the EU stood at 188 million euros compared with a revised 929 million-euro deficit in the same period in 2003. ISTAT said figures would be revised from May to take account of EU enlargement when 10 countries joined the bloc.|||
