Volume on the Nasdaq was the lightest so far this year while volume on the Big Board was also extremely thin. The Nasdaq closed up 6.47, or 0.30%, to 2155.91. The Dow was up 71.24, or 0.65%, to 11,061.65 and the S&P 500 was up 6.45, or 0.51%, to 1267.12.
