CALGARY, Canada (AFX) - Leaders from the G8 are more optimistic about the prospects for global growth than they were last year, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said. "The mood of the group overall is that the economy is stronger this year than last year. There is still room for improvement," Fleischer told reporters. Fleischer said he did not hear any discussions of specific projected growth rates.
