The dollar was weaker against other major currencies early Monday ahead of an appearance by Federal Reserve Chief Alan Greenspan at a Beijing monetary conference. Overnight the dollar weakened after strong Japanese corporate investment data raised expectations that Japan's economy may have performed better than previously thought in the first quarter. The euro was up 0.4% at $1.2268 and the dollar down 0.5% at 107.09 yen.
