IESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - Consumer prices in Germany rose 0.2 pct in June from May, and were up 3.1 pct from a year earlier, according to final figures from the Federal Statistics Office. It said the final figures were a confirmation of the preliminary figures announced at the end of June. Consumer prices rose at a slower rate to the previous month's rise of 3.5 pct due to a weakening of fuel prices, which fell by 3.1 pct in June from May, it said. In western Germany, consumer prices in June were up 0.2 pct from May and was up 3.0 pct year-on-year, the Statistics Office said. In eastern Germany, consumer prices in June were up 0.1 pct from May, and were up 3.4 pct year-on-year, it said.
