TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said economic growth in the year to March may have to be sacrificed for the sake of economic reforms. "It is natural for us to aim at positive growth as much as possible. We may miss the target, but what we are stressing is the importance of reforms," he told reporters following a cabinet meeting. "I have said we must achieve reform even if we hamper growth, but it is a misunderstanding that we are aiming at negative growth," he said.
