WIESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - German retail sales were down a real 0.1 pct in July from June and were up a real 0.9 pct year-on-year, according to provisional figures from the Federal Statistics Office. Market consensus was for a rise of 1.6 pct year-on-year. In nominal terms retail sales rose 0.2 pct in July from June, and rose 3.4 pct year-on-year, it said.
