French new car registrations, which reflect sales, fell 10.7 pct in October from September, adjusted for seasonal variations and variations in the number of working days, the statistics agency INSEE said. The new indicator is based on unadjusted data from the car manufacturers' association CCFA, which said yesterday that October registrations were down 5.8 pct from October 2004. On the adjusted basis, car registrations totalled 160,368 in October, down from 179,637 in September.
